03/02/2009:
I recently mastered a tribute album called Ram On L.A., which is a compilation of all Los Angeles-based bands performing the songs of Paul McCartney's Ram album. These covers are amazing, and the entire album is available as a FREE 320Kbps MP3 DOWNLOAD at Autumn Tone Records' website.

We've finished all the recording for the Lemming Malloy debut album, and I'm hard at work on mixing and mastering it right now. Everything is set for a 2009 release for this album.

I'm also about to begin mixing an EP that is a collaboration between the artists Me and the Horse I Rode In On and Wisdom Tooth. The as of yet untitled EP is sure to be full of catchy hooks and awesome lo-fi music.

It's been a while since an update, but here's what I've been up to: I recorded, mixed, and mastered the debut album for local steampunk band Lemming Malloy, called Avalauncher. We're currently recording another EP, which will be released in early 2009. I'm just finishing up mixing and mastering another EP for Danish artist Me and the Horse I Rode in On, which will be called Home and Other Places I'd Like to Visit. That EP will be released very soon. I mastered the album Got Purpose by gospel artist Tye Moore. I played drums and mixed an updated version of the song "Recovering" with The Strugglers, to be released on Pox World Empire's new Compulation. I have also been tracking some songs for the upcoming Weatherkings album.

04/21/2008:
I recently mastered the second album from long-distance collaborators Travel by Sea, called Days of My Escape, which was just released on Autumn Tone Records. I just finished up mastering Amber Dust's new EP, which is available FOR FREE on their website. I will be mastering a full length album for gospel artist Tye Moore and mastering an EP for the group Janik, from Greensboro. Mixing is almost done for The International Grapevine's album. I also managed to record the last practice by my band, Fire in the Woods. Look for the demos to be uploaded to our myspace page sometime this week.

03/07/2008:
It has been almost a year since my last update! No, I haven't retired--just been really busy. And 2008 looks like it will be no different. In the last year I have mixed and mastered a mixtape for Durham's Face & Caddy, called Gameplan. I recorded, mixed, and mastered an EP for The Virginia Reel, called The Dark Ages of The Virginia Reel. I mixed and mastered an album for the Danish artist Me and the Horse You Rode In On, called Ghost Hospital. I mastered the latest full-length album for Travel by Sea, called Days of My Escape. I am in the middle of mixing and mastering a full-length album for The International Grapevine, called Pursuit of Happiness, released on Now Hereness Records.

I will soon begin recording an EP for a new band comprised of ex-members of Eyes to Space, as well as recording overdubs and mixing the debut album for Chapel Hill's Nightstick. I will also be mastering a new EP from Amber Dust, called Good Things / Bad Timing. Check back here for updates on all of these projects!

02/06/2007:
I just finished mastering the debut album Southern Skies for Greensboro, NC's Filthybird. The album should be released sometime soon. Most of the recording for The Virginia Reel's new album has been completed. Initial tracking was done with Jerry Kee @ Duck-Kee Studios and we're in the process of recording overdubs right now. The album should be completed in the next 2 months. Meanwhile, we have finished all recording for the new Strugglers album and mixing is well underway. I've also mixed and mastered a few singles for Writer's Block Music Group and Mudd Records. 2007 has been busy so far and it looks to stay that way for a while!

11/27/2006:
Just wrapped up mastering for Amber Dust's latest album. Also finished much of the tracking for the new Strugglers album, to be called The Latest Rights. We'll be wrapping up tracking by the end of the year and then mixing and domestic record label shopping will commence in early 2007. The Fire in the Woods project is progressing very nicely and is close to completion. I'm continuing to work on a few hip hop and r'n'b mixes but it seems, unfortunately, that CAB Life's album has been slightly delayed due to legal complications.

08/06/2006:
So, it's been a few months since an update. In the meantime I've been busy. I went on a month-long tour in Europe playing drums with The Strugglers, and have also been recording a lot of material for the upcoming Strugglers full length album. I mixed and mastered the latest single for C.A.B. Life, "She Bad," which you can hear here at his myspace page. Recording for the full length album by Fire in the Woods (Greg Sheriff) is almost done. You can hear some mp3s at the myspace page. I also managed to sneak in some recording sessions with MC Small World of DTP Records (Ludacris' label). It's been a busy spring and summer and as these projects are wrapping up I will begin mixing The Virginia Reel's full length album, as well as much more. It's been great to be involved in many talented projects lately!

03/14/2006:
I've been too busy lately to update the webpage, but here's a rundown of recent projects I've been working on. I'm currently mastering the excellent new album by Travel by Sea, called Shadows Rise, which will be released in 2-3 weeks (you can preorder a copy on their website now). I'm in the middle of recording Greg Sheriff's debut album, to be released in the early summer. I'm also doing some mixing and mastering for a gospel project produced by A.K. of Raleigh's Writer's Block. Last month I finished mixing and mastering the latest CD and 12" double single by C.A.B. Life, which you can hear at his myspace page. The Will Oldham tribute album I mastered is finally shipping. On top of all of this I am recording the new Strugglers album, which is coming along nicely. Now you can see why I have been too busy to update the webpage!

12/04/2005:
Right now I'm mastering the Will Oldham tribute compilation, called I am a Cold Rock. I am Dull Grass. This comp features artists such as Iron & Wine, Calexico, Mark Kozelek, Scout Niblett, and many more.
I am a Cold Rock.
I am a Cold Rock... will be released later this month on TRACT Records and the first 400 copies come with Engaño, a compilation of TRACT artists covering each other's songs.

10/24/2005:
I've been busy recording, mixing, and mastering new tracks for C.A.B. Life of Mudd Records, on some hot tracks by Writer's Block. We're working on C.A.B.'s anticipated follow-up to "Roll Up". I've also been working with Scotty at Phantom Music / Fritz Records.

09/23/2005:
The Strugglers new album, You Win is going to be released on October 18th on Acuarela Discos. There's a CD release show at Local 506 on October 21, and some more east coast dates planned. Recording for the next album will start this Fall.

09/20/2005:
I'll be recording an album with Durham artist Greg Sheriff starting in October. Recording will take place in a house in Hillsboro. I'm looking forward to this one--Greg's an amazingly talented artist!

07/20/2005:
Just finished recording a few Strugglers songs for two different compilations. One comp is going to be given away with TRACT Records' Will Oldham tribute re-release. The other compilation, called "Songs For Another Place Vol.1," is coming out on Awful Bliss in Italy soon.

06/20/2005:
Finished mixing and mastering a 15-song demo CD for hip hop production company Phantom Music, featuring producer Scotty, and MC's P-Lo, The Yums, Riq Rude, and Wayne Williams. Watch out for these guys, they are part of the NC hip hop takeover!

05/2005:
The new Strugglers album is finished! I just finished mixing and mastering this month. It's going to be released in Europe and the US in October on Acuarela Discos. I think Randy and I are both equally happy to have this done and excited about the way this album sounds. It was a pleasure tracking at Jerry Kee's studio!
